Irish interest, literature and general stock.

This was the surprise bookshop out of all those we visited on our Irish tour. A bit scruffy and needed a clean, but what were occupying the shelves were some very interesting titles indeed. The categories became clearer on the third walk around and once into those of my interests then I starting pulling out ones to purchase. Prices for individual books were a little high but in bulk, with discount, the cost became most acceptable. Take your time when visiting and be patient: there is some very good material along with ordinary stuff. I will certainly revisit.  Chris Harte 19.10.16

25,000 books in stock including Irish interest.

Gerry Cooney is a gentleman book dealer. He knows his stuff and he knows it's worth. Unlike some dealers, he always wants to find a price that suits both parties. Highly recommended.  Loyola 13.04.17

Cork's largest independent bookshop to buy, sell or exchange books from all genres at great prices.

A real Jekyll & Hyde for secondhand and new books in adjoining shops. On entering the secondhand premises I looked around and thought it was an Oxfam bookshop under a new name. Fairly well categorised stock but of a bog-standard modern genre. One very small upright (locked) bookcase of mid-wars titles classified as "collectables. " Staff surly to the point of rudeness. However, I then moved next door to look at the new books only to find most were heavily discounted quality remainders. Staff here could not have been more helpful or charming.  Chris Harte 09.11.15
